Hyundai has revealed its all-new range-topping Grandeur for its home market, but don’t expect to see the sedan in Australia.
The 2023 Hyundai Grandeur has made its debut, revealing a bold and upmarket design for the executive sedan.
The seventh-generation Grandeur was unveiled in its home country of South Korea as the flagship within the Hyundai line-up, but taking inspiration from the first-generation model through a number of design cues.
Like the original Grandeur – based on the Japanese-market Mitsubishi Debonair – the all-new model features an upright front-end and pronounced quarter glass at the C-pillar, along with a full-width rear tail-lamp.
The new Grandeur also enjoys frameless doors and automatic flush door handles, LED lighting front and rear, and wheels up to 20 inches in diameter.

Inside, the steering wheel takes its inspiration from the first-gen’s single-spoke steering wheel.
Behind it, the dashboard features a double-width digital instrument cluster and infotainment screen, while an additional touchscreen looks after climate control duties below.
Physical buttons have been kept a minimum throughout, and security has been improved with a fingerprint scanner for the driver.
Passengers in the rear can recline their seats, with privacy guaranteed thanks to electric curtains on the rear doors.
The all-new Grandeur is offered with four engine options: a hybrid 1.6-litre turbo four-cylinder, a 2.5-litre petrol four-cylinder, a 3.5-litre V6 is also available in either petrol or LPG.
Hyundai has already received a reported 60,000 pre-orders for the new Grandeur, even before it was unveiled, according to The Korean Car Blog.
The 2023 Hyundai Grandeur will launch next month in Korea before rolling out to some left-hand-drive markets in the Middle East, making it unlikely the model will be offered in Australia.
