VFACTS: February 2019 new vehicle sales

New vehicle sales in Australia continued to hit the brakes in February, down 9.3 per cent over the same last year, to 87,102 units. Finance sector reform, the flat housing market and a looming election all continue to act as cited headwinds. With just two full sales months completed in 2019, annual sales are already 15,500 units (8.4 per cent) lower than 2018’s then-running tally.
