The next-generation Lexus LS500 F-Sport will make its global debut at the New York motor show next week.
According to Lexus, both the LS500 and LS500h will be available in F-Sport trim, although it seems as though only the LS500 F-Sport will step out in the Big Apple.
As with Toyota’s announcement regarding the FT-4X concept, Lexus isn’t giving many details away, with the luxury division merely stating the F-Sport models will highlight the new GA-L “platform’s responsiveness and agility to present the most engaging LS driving experience yet”.
As with other models in the Lexus range, we expect the new LS F-Sport variants to feature a sportier suspension setup, and revised exterior styling with a little more aggression than other trim levels.
In the teaser image (above) we can see that the LS F-Sport will feature a bit less chrome across the back, black Lexus badge backing, and chromed exhaust tip surrounds.

Both the new LS sedan and LC coupe are the first models to be based on Lexus’ new GA-L rear-wheel drive platform.
The LS500 and LC500 models are powered by a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 with 310kW of power and 600Nm of torque. The LS500 is reportedly capable of a 0-100km/h time of 4.8 seconds.
Meanwhile, the LS500h and LC500h versions feature a 220kW/350Nm 3.5-litre V6, two electric motors, and a four-speed automatic sending drive to the rear wheels. All up, the system has a total of 264kW, and the LS500h has a claimed 0-100km/h time of 5.4 seconds.
Australia
The new LS range will make its debut in Australia during the first quarter of 2018.
