Images have emerged online showing a Tesla Model 3 with some exterior changes, ahead of a possible announcement next week.
The 2024 Tesla Model 3 has been caught on camera with a fresh look.
Images of the Model 3 prototype were published by The Kilowatts on Twitter, with the Tesla wearing thick camouflage over its rear and front ends – including the car’s headlights – suggesting the update will include a noticeable exterior facelift.
It’s the first time the electric car has been spied with this 18-inch alloy wheel design – though like current 18-inch wheels on offer from the company, it’s possible the final production car will be fitted with aerodynamic wheel covers.
The updated Model 3 – codenamed ‘Highland’ – is also expected to receive interior changes to “reduce the number of components and complexity in the interior,” according to a Reuters report from November 2022.
The side indicator and camera accoutrements also appears to have been lengthened, and now extend into the front doors.

Commenters on the social media platform claim the new model will receive side cameras fitted within the headlights, improving visibility at intersections.
Reports have suggested the cables extending under the car from the bottom of the rear doors points to the fitment of Tesla’s new ‘4680’ battery pack design.
As reported earlier this month, Tesla is said to be upgrading its production line later this month to accommodate the refreshed Model 3 range.
Tesla’s Investor Day has been announced for 1 March 2023, where a number of new-model announcements are expected to be made – which may include the Model 3 update.
