A batch of 470 Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6 electric cars is slated to go on sale next week, for delivery within two weeks and three months, depending on model.
The first examples of the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 6 – and the next allocation of Hyundai Ioniq 5 electric cars – are due on sale next Wednesday, 22 February 2023.
Hyundai Australia has confirmed orders are due to open online on Wednesday at 1pm AEDT, with 470 cars available across every state and territory.
The 470-vehicle allocation includes 170 Ioniq 5 electric vehicles – spread across 48 rear-wheel-drive Dynamiqs, 68 all-wheel-drive Techniqs, and 54 Epiq models – which the company claims will be delivered within two to four weeks.
Meanwhile, the 300 Ioniq 6 vehicles are spread across 229 Dynamiq models, 36 Techniq grades and 35 Epiq variants, with delivery claimed “within three months”.
Hyundai Australia has previously confirmed there are 25 showrooms around the country authorised to deliver Ioniq vehicles – but buyers must still order vehicles at fixed prices through Hyundai’s website, rather than through dealerships.

For customers who miss out on the February 22 allocation, Hyundai Australia says the next batches of cars are due to go on sale in March and April 2023.
