If you’re planning on a road trip during the summer holidays and need new tyres, a handful of Australian retailers are offering big discounts for this year’s Black Friday sales.
What started as a US tradition of massive sales on the day after the Thanksgiving holiday has become a worldwide trend, with Australian motorists set to benefit from ‘Black Friday’ sales.
A number of Australian retailers are embracing Black Friday by offering discounts on certain tyre brands – less than a month before the Christmas holidays.
Certain tyre shops are also taking part in ‘Cyber Monday’ – extending their deals through to Monday next week – while others are limiting their sales to today only, with specific conditions.
Below is a list of the Australian retailers offering discounts on tyres, as well as the terms and conditions of their discounts.
Note: Tyre brands currently running promotions separate to Black Friday have not been included in this article.
Beaurepaires
Beaurepaires is offering a 60 per cent discount on selected Dunlop, Goodyear, Roadstone, Diamondback and Momo tyres purchased online between November 25 and 27.
The company has also introduced a 40 per cent discount on Dunlop SP Sport Maxx 050+, which is not available in conjunction with the 60 per cent off deal.
The discounted prices only apply to tyres currently in stock and cannot be applied when making a booking over the phone or in-store.
Mycar
The business formerly known as Kmart Tyre and Auto Service has reduced the price of Pirelli tyres by 50 per cent, available on November 25 only.
Mycar is applying the discount to the retail price of in-stock Pirelli tyres via online or phone bookings.
The company’s terms and conditions say the tyres must be booked for fitment between December 5-17, 2022 or January 4-31, 2023.

The online tyre retailer has also introduced a “buy three get the fourth tyre free” deal for Powertrac, RoadX and Dunlop SP Sport FM800 tyres.
It’s worth noting the cost of fitment is not included in the price of the tyres, as the company supplies the goods to third-party workshops.
Goodyear Autocare
Goodyear’s EfficientGrip and EfficientGrip Performance tyres have been discounted by the company for Black Friday, with the promotion running between November 25 and 26.
The company is offering 25 per cent off a set of four tyres at participating outlets, which is not available in conjunction with other offers.
Jax Tyres
From November 25 to 28, Jax Tyres is participating in Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with the company reducing the price of Dunlop, Goodyear (excluding Eagle F1 Sport), Laufenn and Michelin tyres by 15 per cent – on top of current promotions.
Additional deals are also being offered on Hankook Dynapro and selected BFGoodrich tyres (buy three get the fourth tyre free), as well as 10 per cent off four or more BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tyres.
It is also price-matching any competitor’s price on selected Pirelli tyres, exclusively available in stores today only.
