The updated Isuzu MU-X will be fitted with a number of new features when it arrives in December alongside a mildly facelifted D-Max ute.
- 2023 Isuzu MU-X pricing and specifications
- Minor cosmetic and equipment changes
- Blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert automatically disabled while towing
- Priced from $48,900 plus on-road costs
The 2023 Isuzu MU-X SUV will receive a handful of mid-life upgrades in line with its D-Max ute sibling, due to arrive in Australia from December onwards.
Launched in July 2021, the second-generation MU-X is now undergoing its first facelift, with Isuzu swapping the SUV’s two silver chrome accents on its grille for black-chrome and magnetite finishes.
Additional cosmetic changes to the Isuzu MU-X include dark grey metallic trim surrounding the LED tail-lights.
As with the updated D-Max, the Isuzu MU-X’s blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert safety systems will be automatically disabled when a trailer is hitched using a genuine trailer wiring harness.
The Isuzu MU-X LS-M is equipped with new-look 17-inch alloy wheels – shod in Dunlop AT25 All-Terrain tyres – while the LS-U and LS-T grades gain magnetite accents on their exterior fog light trim, rear bumper, roof rails and side steps.
The two better-equipped MU-X grades now habe a tyre pressure monitoring system, hands-free tailgate and magnetite accents across the dashboard and door trims.
All three Isuzu MU-X variants are powered by a 3.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
The Isuzu MU-X is available in 4×2 or 4×4 guise, with the latter offering both 4-high and 4-low off-road modes.
The 2023 Isuzu MU-X’s prices are unchanged from 2022, with the cheapest 4×2 variant priced from $48,900 plus on-road costs, while the MU-X 4×4 starts at $54,900.
Isuzu has also carried across its $65,990 drive-away offer for the flagship MU-X LS-T, saving buyers $1410 compared to the RRP.
Isuzu Ute Australia says the updated MU-X is due to go on sale from December 1, 2022.
