Australian pricing and specifications for the 2022 Audi E-Tron S range have been announced, ahead of first showroom arrivals in early 2022.
Priced from $165,600 to $172,700 before on-road costs (depending on body style), the new E-Tron S and E-Tron S Sportback are the first electric Audi models to wear the S (not S Line) badge – and will arrive in Australia some 18 months after making their global debuts.
Powering the E-Tron S duo is a trio of electric motors – one up front and two at the rear, incorporating advanced torque vectoring – developing a combined 320kW and 808Nm in Normal mode, or 370kW and 973Nm in Boost mode. 0-100km/h times range from 5.1 seconds in Normal mode, to 4.5 seconds with Boost mode, with a common top speed of 210km/h.
An 86kWh lithium-ion battery (net capacity, or 95kWh gross) enables 413km of claimed ADR range in the normal E-Tron S, increasing to 418km with the more aerodynamic Sportback body style.
Chassis highlights include the aforementioned torque vectoring system, plus 21-inch alloy wheels, performance brakes (with orange calipers), adaptive sport air suspension, and an Audi drive select system.
Standard features include three interior screens, four-zone climate control, matrix LED headlights, Valcona leather upholstery, electric front sports seats, a head-up display, panoramic sunroof, and a full suite of active safety technology.
Also included as standard is a six-year subscription to the Chargefox public charging network, with its highest-output chargers capable of boosting the E-Tron S to 80 per cent charge in 30 minutes, with the car able to accept up to 150kW of electricity.
The 2022 Audi E-Tron S will arrive in Australian showrooms in early 2022.
