2020 Mitsubishi Outlander recalled for seat belt fault

Mitsubishi Australia has issued a recall for a total of 1948 cars, citing an incorrectly assembled seat belt anchor on the rear right seat of the current generation Outlander SUV. Both the regular petrol-powered models and plug-in-hybrid variants have been affected, the company says. A spokesperson for Mitsubishi Australia told CarAdvice the problem stemmed from the right rear seats being fitted with shoulder anchors designed for the left side of the car.
