2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE 300d recalled for faulty airbags

Mercedes-Benz Australia has issued a recall of 62 examples of its 2019 GLE 300d 4Matic SUV due to airbags that may not inflate properly during an accident. The recall notice, lodged with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), says a wiring harness responsible for activating the second-row driver's-side airbags may be damaged by the seat moving along its guide rail.
