Hiroto Saikawa, CEO of Nissan, has resigned his post days after it was revealed he had been overcompensated as part of the company's stock appreciation rights scheme. An investigation conducted by the audit committee tasked with finding out and detailing the crimes and misdemeanours of former CEO Carlos Ghosn and former board member Greg Kelly has unearthed evidence of an improper payment to Saikawa back in 2013, when he was an executive vice president.
