Subaru has recalled the 2018 Outback Diesel, over concerns some vehicles might have been fitted with an incorrect oil pipe. According to the company, affected vehicles are fitted with an oil pipe that's too small on the inside. That could leave the turbo's turbine bearing short of oil, which in turn could make it wear prematurely or seize and fracture. If the turbine blade fractures, the fragments might be ingested by the engine, which could make the engine stop and fail to restart.
