Ford teases new Mustang Shelby GT500

Ford has teased the arrival of the 2020 Mustang Shelby GT500, posting a picture of its supercharger cover on Twitter, along with the date of its expected reveal: January 14, 2019. While Ford is yet to specify details of the upcoming GT500, the company has previously stated it will be "the most powerful street-legal production Ford ever built", producing upwards of 700 horsepower (522kW). For reference, the previous GT500 produced 494kW of power and 855Nm of torque.
