Edit
Mercedes-Benz Australia has issued a recall for the E-Class sold between 2017 and 2018 over concerns the active bonnet may not operate as intended. According to the German marque, some vehicles may have a defective system that doesn't detect pedestrians and therefore doesn't activate the safety feature in the event of a collision. If the condition occurs, Mercedes-Benz says there could be an increased risk of injury to the pedestrian.
