Where other carmakers play up their premium aspirations, Mitsubishi has done the opposite, adding new base level trims to the ASX as part of a model year 2019 refresh. With ASX positioned as the top-seller in the small SUV segment, Mitsubishi has attempted to amp up value as a means of sustaining volume. With a starting price of $23,490 plus on road costs, the ASX ES has been positioned to fill the gap left by the departing Lancer small hatch and sedan.
