Mercedes-Benz Australia has recalled select Sprinters built in October and November 2017, over concerns some spot welds may not have been applied. According to the company, some spot welds on the front-side wall linking the door frame with their hinge reinforcements mightn't have been applied, on either the driver or passenger side of the car. In an accident, the missing welds could compromise the crash safety, leading to a greater risk of injury.
