A new value-packed model has arrived as part of the 2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class range in the form of the new C200 Sport Edition.
This newly-added version comes kitted out with plenty of additional extras over the regular entry-level petrol C-Class sedan model, yet with only a $4900 premium over the standard model, which lists at $61,900 plus on-road costs.
There’s more to the price appeal than that, though, as this limited edition version comes with on-road costs included. As such, the Sport Edition appears properly good value at $66,800 drive-away.
It adds niceties such as a panoramic sunroof, head-up display, 360-degree camera system, AMG body styling package, 19-inch AMG alloy wheels. All told, that’s about $8000 of optional extras for essentially what it would cost for on-road costs.
The C200 Sport Edition retains the same 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol turbo engine of the standard model, with 135kW of power and 300Nm of torque. It comes as standard with a nine-speed automatic transmission with paddleshifters.
The deal is available until September 30.
Here’s how it slots in the C-Class petrol range in terms of pricing:
C200 – $61,900 plus on-road costs
C200 Sport Edition – $66,800 drive-away
C300 – $69,900 plus on-road costs
C350e – $75,900 plus on-road costs
