Mercedes-Benz has issued a recall for 11 vehicles from its A-Class, C-Class, E-Class, GLE and G-Class lines repaired or serviced during early December 2016 over concerns a faulty software upload could cause several issues with vehicle emissions and safety systems.

The German marque reports the affected units could be uploaded with software that could affect airbag deployment, increasing the risk of injury to occupants in the event of a collision.

Recalled vehicles were repaired or serviced between 3 December and 5 December 2016.

Owners of these Mercedes-Benz vehicles will be contacted directly via mail, and are encouraged to visit their local dealer to have the correct software upgraded.
