The Nissan Rogue Trail Warrior Project has been revealed ahead of this week’s New York motor show, taking the SUV’s all-round capabilities to the next level.
Based on the facelifted US-market Rogue, known here as the X-Trail, the Trail Warrior features a full khaki-coloured snow track system and a custom exterior camo wrap.
The one-off show car also features military-style yellow lenses for the headlights and fog-lights, modified suspension and wheel arches to accommodate the 48-inch long (122cm), 30-inch high (76cm) and 15-inch wide (38) tracks, custom arch flares, a roof-mounted ARB gear basket, LED light bar and a Warn 4K winch.
Under the bonnet is the same 2.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine in the production car, developing 126kW of power and 226Nm of torque, mated to an ‘Xtronic’ continuously-variable transmission (CVT).
Nissan says the Trail Warrior is one of two Rogue-based concepts created exclusively for the New York event, which commences on April 14, though the second vehicle is yet to be revealed.
The facelifted X-Trail, meanwhile, will arrive in Australia next month.
