The new Lexus LS F-Sport has been unveiled and detailed ahead of its in-the-flesh debut at the New York motor show.
Available on both the LS500 and the hybrid LS500h, the F-Sport package has styling updates, including a new pattern for the grille and faux air intakes, and a new side sill design.
The LS F-Sport models ride on unique 20-inch alloy wheels with 245/40 tyres at the front, and 275/40 rubber at the rear. Stopping power comes from a larger brake package with six-piston callipers at the front, and four-pot units at the rear.
For the rear-wheel drive version of the LS500, buyers can option up the F-Sport with a handling pack, which includes a variable rate steering setup, active rear-wheel steering, an active stabiliser, and retuned air suspension system with rapid height functionality.
On the inside, the LS F-Sport models are equipped with a new set of grippier front seats featuring a perforated grille pattern in the centre section, and aluminium controls and trim.
There’s also aluminium pedals, ultraseude headliner, a unique steering wheel, perforated leather for the transmission shifter, and an instrument cluster design inspired by the LFA supercar.
The new Circuit Red interior, and Ultra White exterior paint are exclusively available on the new LS F-Sport.
For F-Sport variants, power outputs from the LS’ drivetrains are unchanged. The LS500’s 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 still produces 310kW of power and 600Nm of torque, and drives either the rear or all four wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Similarly, the LS500h F-Sport retains its 264kW multi-stage hybrid setup with a 3.5-litre V6, two electric motors, and a four-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels.
